Work Environment Scale (WES)
Instrument Description:
The WES assesses the social climate of many types of work units, focusing on relationships among employees, between employees and supervisors, and on the unit's organizational structure and functioning. The WES is used in organizational development to evaluate productivity, assess employee/employer satisfaction, provide feedback at all levels, promote improvements in the workplace, monitor the impact of change over time. Norms are based on more than 8,000 employees in 116 work groups. Separate norms are available for staff in health care settings.
